Gun control like most political topics is a hot topic that everyone has an opinion about whether they are informed or not. This information is to inform people about the importance of their rights and their need to defend them. There is no false pretense that this will convert everyone to be avid gun loves, however, if someone walks away knowing a new fact about gun ownership and opens their eyes and mind to further discussion then it has been a success. This issue affects all Americans and each and every one of them needs to be knowledgeable to make informed decisions about proposed laws. Therefore, the most effective forum for this debate is the open audience at the capital building in Colorado. There will be passionate representatives from both sides of the debate, as well as, the legal representation that will be voting on the laws. Those in favor of gun control will have personal stories appealing to the heart with stories of loved ones lost and hostile to the opposition. Those in favor of no gun contol will speak of false interpretation of the Bill of Rights and use the blank flag of patriotism to win for their side. Finally, politicians will try and be impartial but will carry the weight of personal belief and experience with them. If successful, I will bring all three groups one step closer to an agreement where everyone gets something they want and give ground for the opposition.
